Pangolins are considered the most highly (illegally) trafficked mammals in the world. Roughly 300 pangolins are poached every day. Of the 8 species, 4 are considered threatened, 2 endangered & 2 critically endangered. These scaly Anteaters live in parts of Asia & Africa. The name pangolin originated from the Malay word pengguling, meaning “one who rolls up”.
